Kata Meic’s art is more than a passion. It’s who she is and the path she is forging.

Each piece tells a story. The viewer can see their own difference. It mirrors the viewer. The sense of wonder and whimsy and youthful spirit we each have is in the artist’s work.

The artist is open about being neurodivergent and tends to paint at strange hours past midnight where she looses track of time. She prefers to paint with her fingers but it gets a little messy so she uses her brushes as well. Most of the time she will use brushes that have paint on them, sometimes peeling off the paint with her fingers knowing that she should use a new brush but is too stubborn to do so. Racing thoughts and silly sayings are all over the sides of the canvas and on the back as part of the art. The artist paints without the aid of her glasses and with no pre-conceived notions. Each work is a story which has been revealed to the artist.

“I’m different, let this not upset you.” - PARACELSUS

Her intent is for others to see the awesome imperfect beauty we all have, inside and out.
